Cupspire is a towering installation constructed from forty‑five ascending layers of stacked paper cups, transforming an everyday disposable object into a monumental architectural form. Rising with quiet precision, the structure evokes the upward pull of spires and ancient monuments, yet its material remains light, fragile, and unmistakably contemporary.

The work explores the tension between permanence and impermanence: a form that suggests endurance, built from objects designed to be temporary. Each cup contributes to a collective geometry, creating a rhythmic pattern that shifts with light and shadow throughout the day. From a distance, Cupspire appears almost stone‑like; up close, its delicate construction reveals the vulnerability embedded within its height.
